Arthur Hackett
Arthur Hackett, born 1975 in Warsaw, New York, is a contemporary painter and artist whose work sits comfortably in the Realism and Tonalism movement. Arthur received a Master's of Science degree from Buffalo State College, receiving his degree in Multidisciplinary studies to go along with his Bachelor's of Science in Art Education. In the early years of his career, he was attracted to the natural beauty of his native Western New York and found his inspiration in its natural beauty. He is a self-taught artist and painter who focuses primarily on the genre of landscape painting and realistic illustrations. His use of dramatic lighting in his landscapes brings a unique intimacy to the compositions. Arthur is deeply influenced by his deep and profound faith in YHWH (God) and tries to capture and illuminate a glimpse of His beautiful creation.
In addition to painting, he has been an art educator in several public schools in Western New York. He still has a passion for teaching through private art lessons on the prestigious and historic Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, New York, where he maintains his art studio.
